"The Log of a Cowboy" is a 1903 novel by Andy Adams. The narrator, a boy in his late teens, takes part in a large-scale cattle drive from Texas to an Indian reservation in Montana. On their way, they must endure rustlers, renegade Indians, treacherous terrain, stampedes, criminals, droughts, and more. Andy Adams (1859 - 1935) was an American western fiction writer.
