Pirates, enchanted mirrors, mermaids, evil villains, and triumphant heroes, there is certainly a tale for everyone. What is so enticing about short stories? Perhaps it is the idea of a simple sketch going from a faint image to being completely painted by our imaginations. Not only this but with any story we create our own characters, voicing, backdrops, plot-twists, and fears, or hopes. What lies between these few pages is a glimpse of something that for everyone will be completely unique unto themselves. I as the writer would like to challenge you to look for something different that makes each story not mine, but your own.
