In this book, the author highlights what has happened to Mankind since the Fall of Adam. What does the Lord require of us, as we worship Him in spirit and in truth? It is the Lord's Church, not ours, and we belong to Him: He does not belong to us. Remember Moses struck the rock and said, "Must we fetch you water out of this rock?" This one time of self glorification prevented Moses from leading Israel into the Promised Land. When Isaiah entered the Temple (Isaiah 6) he saw the "Lord high and lifted up," and we see the only outline for worship that is given in the Bible: which includes confession, cleansing, forgiveness, and commissioning for service.
