This story completes the first trilogy. Previously, Patric has hidden his friend Harry the rabbit from the coyotes. The coyotes decide to eat Patric instead, but he is rescued just in time by Eclair, the white borzoi dog. In this story, Olivia takes Patric up to the barn to keep him safe.But Patric has other ideas. He is bored and lonely in the barn. His friends Harry and Froggy help him to escape and they return to the meadow and freedom, but first they must go into the house to find Olivia. Melissa, the black mare has fallen and cannot get up. Soon she will have her foal……..
