En un viatge a Berlin, ara fa set anys, vaig trobar un document colpidor que em connecta amb la historia de la poblacio jueva. A poc a poc, m'hi vaig anar endinsant i cada troballa m'adrecava a fer un nou pas. Cada descoberta m'anava emocionant i encara em feia buscar mes en la historia, en la vida i en la condicio humana que som i de la qual formem part. Aixi, doncs, vaig escriure aquest relat que conte informacio viscuda de primera ma, d'altra que procedeix de fonts documentals i despres l'argument d'unes vides que haurien pogut ser, amb la versemblanca i les caracteristiques d'una epoca.
