El mundo se ha restructurado y ahora esta dividido en dos areas: La Virtualidad, cuya caracteristica es la hiperconectividad de los ciudadanos a la NET, luego de aceptar lo Virtual como patron de sus vidas; y La Externidad, donde habitan los que prefieren tener La Realidad como base de su existencia. Una enfermedad desconocida se esparce por la Virtualidad y los Poderes maximos que la gobiernan, al verse sin recursos para combatirla, deciden enviar a la Externidad un emisario en busca de la solucion.
