I wrote Beyond The Garden Gate to honor a way of life that has passed. And will never be again. There are many things that happened I never wrote about. I’m glad I was raised in the country. It has given me a different view of life. I had a happy childhood. I was never bored. There was always something to do. We had 320 acres to play on. We were free as birds. Looking back on my life, I had only one wish. And that was to realize on my deathbed that I had good memories. I have achieved that. So my life’s goal has been fulfilled….
