When Sam's grandmother tells him she's going away for the winter, Sam is worried.
What about all the time they usually spend together baking, drinking hot chocolate and building snow forts? Grandma assures him she'll send postcards, but postcards aren't the same as hugs! Grandma knows the answer: she can send a hug on the wind. And if there's no hint of a breeze? Then she can find a beam of sunshine and send her hug with that. And in the rain? Grandma will send kisses in the raindrops. With each new concern, Grandma promises Sam that she'll find a way to send her love to him. Sam feels better, realizing that no matter how far his grandma is, her love will always be there.
