A successful and sophisticated career criminal leaves a life of international crime and attempts to go straight. Relationships with the two women in his life come to an end. One is his criminal associate, the other, his lover. Disillusioned with Britain, he re-locates to south east Spain determined to enjoy his retirement. On a subsequent visit to the U.K. he meets Maxie, his former crime partner who unwittingly presents him with an opportunity which he seizes. A drug deal he has arranged goes wrong with murderous consequences for all involved. When Dagmar’s female intuition turns to suspicion it threatens his liberty and his ruthless self-preservation impacts on her and a close friend.
