Clem is a boy to whom everything goes wrong. He doesn't know it, but he's dyslexic and in a village hard hit by drought and disasters, he feels that there is no place for him - that is, till the oldest man in the village shows him a broken bridge and tells him about the river that used to flow there. Clem realises that maybe this is something he can do, to go find the source of the river and get it running again. This is the story of how he frees the river and the friends he meets on his journey
