There were two young girls bopping around the house in typical high energy fashion before bedtime. They were a continuous announcement of the latest nugget of knowledge they had learned and ready to share with their mother and father (who probably taught it to them anyway). Guess what?…and do you know what? Months ago the father began to reply with obvious facts, for example: the sky is blue, water is wet, and chickens have feathers. Working hard at avoiding the efforts of their parents, the two little girls were not on their way to bed yet. The oldest girl nearly four and full of chatter thought that if she spoke louder and faster the parents might get distracted. The younger diaper-wrapped sibling tagged along as the loyal shadow. The next demand from the mother came with the dreaded countdown. One!Two! The girls broke from their parade and ran like a bolt to their room. The older daughter still self engaged in conversation lead the stampede through the living room with a loud and do you know what? The trailing shadow immediately cried out chickens have feathers! The two disappeared to the back bed room. It was in those next few moments Danny was born. I hope you like it.
