Among Us Women is about three women of different ethnicity and generations. Their shared interest in design–not coincidentally the life’s work of Joan Lerner–enabled the author to merge their stories. Rose, a widow finds herself free of an abusive husband. Jane is celebrating her pregnancy by in vitro when she learns her gay husband has a secret life. Eva, an African American feminist must consider abortion when her Caucasian married lover insists. Important social, religious and political issues with elements of mystery and suspense contribute to this controversial novel.
