Andre Glide, the great French naturalist, used to wonder as a child why people could not look into his eyes and see what a great genius he would some day be. We all live with a personal view of life, and in the later years tend to look back with new found perspective and wonder why the young around us can t look into our eyes and see that which has been seen. This book contains a long lens view from a particular but rather normal middle class American life, and shares thoughts, some harbored for many years, some expressing a desire for a better world in which children and grandchildren can prosper in peace, some expressing personal opinions, and others simply remembering things past. This is a journey through thought as much as event.
