The Long Haired Yellow Bellies are a unusual breed of cattle, they have bright yellow bellies and also yellow noses. There are six of them, Fred, Ethel, Daisy, Syd Elsie and Horace. The main character is Fred, he is their leader and he is also very clumsy. They live in a big yellow barn with a bright red door, on the farm called Daisy Field Farm, at the village of Molton Wensbury. The farm is owned by Farmer Stan and his wife Lily.
