Princess Frisky is an entertaining story full of excitement. Susie, daughter of the Sens’ family, the main character in this children’s drama is a child with a passion for animals. Though Susie believes that she is old enough to take care of a pet does not have a house pet and lives in hope to have one soon. The focal point in this story is based on trust. Susie must convince her parents that she has confidence, while earning their trust. Earning this trust is no simple task, but when she does meet their expectations must prove her self to be responsible. Dependability is a lesson to be learned. Susie is taken on a voyage of surprises which fulfills her heart’s desires. Though Susie believes she’s matured, capable and conscientious, what she hopes to endeavor is a huge investment in life and an enormous assignment for a nine year old. Through an understanding between Susie and her parents, she accepts responsibility but expresses her idea that through loving someone or something (animal) she can learn the meaning of responsible. What is apparent in the story is that her goal is to take a step forward in learning what it takes to be dependable and deep inside finds the strength in her big heart to love and accomplish her mission.
