Paula the Waldensian was written for young readers. Paula was someone who loved God and loved her neighbors as herself. The story begins on the terrace of a large house in a small village. A letter comes and it is decided that Paula recently orphaned will come to live with the family. The family consists of a father two children and an old servant. This family is still in mourning the death of their wife and mother. This is a delightful story from a gentler time.
