Pitter Soumelia was born in the small town of Old Harbour in the parish of St. Catherine in Jamaica, West Indies. She is the third child of 10. After secondary school, she migrated to the U.S., where her third child was born. She is the mother of three and a proud grandmother of four. Soumelia is married and attending college. She loves traveling, meeting new people, gardening, and spending time with family. In her free time she enjoys reading, writing, and listening to gospel music.
