The adventures of Floret, is a collection of short stories about a young woodland fairy. Floret is the Fairy Queen s daughter and her love of the woodland folk (foxes, squirrels badgers and the like) leads her on to have many lovely adventures. During these adventures Floret’s helpfulness and kindness from both her and the woodland folk complete the stories with happy endings. The stories are aimed at the younger children - age range of 3 - 7yrs and have tried to give a kind, giving and helpful moral understanding to the readers. The setting is in an English forest and the stories are written with a graphic flare which should help children envisage the setting (even if they have not seen an English forest before) and feel the magic of a forest in the summer.“
