Inside Poodlums, Boogeymen and Booglers, A big sister convinces her little brother that a boogeyman lives under the bed. She also tells him that there are monsters living in the closet. He knows for sure that the Booglers will come in the house if the doors are not locked at night. At another time, he sees Poodlums in the empty house down the street and runs home to tell his mother. She never did figure out what a Poodlum was. This little boy’s inquisitive nature later gets him in trouble with an electric fence and his determination, to do what he’s told, causes him to get dragged across an open field by a hunting dog.
