Believing that wisdom comes only from spirituality, the Author uses a collection of spiritual wisdom from the Great Chiefs of Indian tribes here in America and those spoken by the original people of Palestine. She uses the two groups as corresponding examples of tragedies brought upon innocent people when those in positions of power ignored the truth and wisdom of the powerless. Both tragedies provided an open door for extremists to promote violence through the hopelessness of the powerless and sadly, violence begets violence.
