The Wilderness is a collection of poems and short stories written in an autobiographical sketch capturing the life and environment growing up in Detroit. It is spiritually as well as realistically based for both the believer and non-believer to enjoy. It contains three chapters that represent the Holy Trinity and also represents the three major stages in the history of the Israelites: Egypt (slavery), Wilderness (wandering), Canaan (promised land). These three stages represent spiritual slavery, wandering/discovery and spiritual awakenings. Each chapter has it’s own style indicative of each spiritual/carnal state of mind and life.
