Spiral Voices tells the story of DeShay Robinson, a man caught between the broken promises and misplaced dreams of his past and a future that, after 43 years, seems even more out of focus than when his random journey through life began. It opens with him leaving Los Angeles for Louisiana to bury his estranged father. In tow is the torment of his latest in a long list of ill-fated relationships. Heartbroken and alone, with nothing to build upon or pursue as he ponders yet another new direction, he quickly finds himself engulfed by a procession of crime and depravity that have infested the idyllic farmland of his youth. While grisly events challenge his waning resolve and threaten to overwhelm and destroy him, he must decide whether to run again or finally make a stand.
