Roy Mcayne, a police forensics technician, has researched a new medical drug that can bring recently deceased people back to life. If successful, the odds of solving murder cases would greatly improve. Yet until he has permission to experiment on a human corpse the research has been halted. Police officer Matt Dune knows Roy very well, and was the first to be told of the new drug, aptly named Haemoglobisis. That night Matt Dune is killed in the line of duty and thus provides Roy with the perfect guinea pig for his work. The operation is a success. Reborn and vowing revenge, Matt goes out to find his killers. The police officer in him pushed to one side, he uncovers a dark self brimming with anger and violence. Meanwhile, the power of Haemoglobisis getting to his head, Roy receives confirmation that the Forensics department is to be issued a financial cut. Fearing for his beloved research, Roy uses the drug to unleash a wave of zombie-like creatures to follow up his plan to find funds. Discovering Roy’s actions, Matt realises he is the only person who can stop things getting out of hand. But will his conscience get the better of him?
