Josh Williams, a computer buff is keen to win a computer in a new competition. His own computer is having colour problems due to a virus. That is, until the rescue disk arrives in the post. Josh and his friend, Andy soon discover that this is no ordinary disk when they are whisked away into the screen saver of the computer. With the help of Josh’s (humanoid) computer mouse, they set about trying to restore the colour in the computer. Unfortunately they are foiled at every turn by the Spectre, the virus that is slowly destroying the computer. Each attempt to secure a colour involves a different sort of adventure, with the Spectre always determined to prevent them doing so. With seven colours of the rainbow to collect, the boys find themselves drawn into seven screen savers; the 3D maze, under the sea, the jungle, the building blocks, outer space, a baseball game and finally the haunted house. Things have a habit of going wrong but luckily, Clippit, the office assistant paper clip is readily summoned to save the day. Once the seven colours have been rescued, the quest is over. Can Josh and Andy now finally defeat the Spectre and save the computer from total destruction?
