Meet the Baker/Te Presento a Los Panaderos

Using an easy-to-follow bilingual format, English language learners are introduced to the men and women who make the baked goods that people love to eat. Beginning readers discover why a baker’s job is both challenging and fun as they see the tasks that must be accomplished by bakers every day–including making batter and baking loaves of bread. Early learners are introduced to the tools bakers work with, including knives and ovens. Accessible text presented in both English and standard Latin American Spanish is accompanied by a picture glossary, helping young readers learn new facts and strengthen their vocabularies.
