World War I

World War I shows students how to find, evaluate, organize, and use information available on the Great War, such as the causes of the war, the role of the American army on the Western Front, and the Russian Revolution. There’s advice on planning and recording research, on skimming, scanning, and note-taking, on interpreting photographs, and on understanding the potentially confusing names and dates of the period, such as St. Petersburg and Petrograd.
