Prophets not only exist, they live and minister among us.

From the time of ancient history, prophets have always been with us-as fore-tellers, revealing God’s plan, and as forth-tellers, prophesying events and ushering them in. Prophets encourage the Church and bring hope.

They are the voice of God and, as such, bring direction to the faithful.

Many believe that today there are no more prophets; that they all died off at the close of either the Old Testament or the New Testament period. The bible proves that this simply is not true. The five-fold ministry, made up of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, is inherent in Christianity and must be recognized and respected if the Church is to survive.

Too many churches that seem to succeed, without prophetic word, are those that are on the verge of being worldly churches. They are focused on people, money, programs, and power, and engage their followers in guilt tithing. They do very little for the Church at large and are actually a hindrance to the ministry of Jesus Christ.

If today’s churches would follow the doctrines of the Bible, stop trying to please man, and stop making up silly traditions for the church to follow, they would see, do, and experience the things that the saints of old saw, did, and experienced.

God is constantly talking to us, but will we listen? Enter the gift of prophecy.
