Marion Helen Abruzese was born November 21, 1919 in Sharon Massachusetts. Where she went to the Charles R. Wilber School. After school, she would baby-sit for friends, and started telling children’s stories. Marion was an avid reader. She would go to the library and read. She loved biographies, and would envy the author’s schooling. Schooling was something she could not continue, but her dreams of becoming a writer never stopped her. The more she told her stories, the more the desire to write still burned within her. After retiring from Polaroid in 1984, Marion continued to sit for children, and with the help of friends and family she continued her dream. Marion now lives in Texas with her daughter Judith Ann after moving there in 1998. On January 11, 2004 Marion’s great granddaughter was born. A new generation rekindled her desire to be a writer, and at the age of eighty-six she has fulfilled her dream of writing her first book. Children’s Stories from the Heart.
