I have thoroughly enjoyed writing this book when I was in Bangladesh in 1991. I wrote it in two weeks as I had a very short vacation. I had nothing to do because all the chores were done by the paid helpers. I received a lot of love and give love when I was there. I found the people were very generous and have a sense of humour. I found the Bengali language to be very smooth and sweet. I love the Bengali people for their warmth and hospitality. Most people were very poor but a meal was ready when one visited and one can stay as long as one wants. I enjoyed their fresh fish curries especially the roes of the various fishes were quite tasty. I learnt to make different dishes when I was there. The women were thrilled when I was writing this book and were eager to help me with all the details of their lives. We have had some good laughs whilst writing because of the language barrier. My Bengali being poor and their English poor! The people are very polite and try to maintain discipline in their daily lives. I meet quite a few Bengali people in the East End of London and around United Kingdom. I always feel welcome by them. There are a lot of Bangladeshi Restaurants all over U.K.I find their cuisine quite tasty. This book is dedicated to the Bengali Women and I hope they enjoy reading it because it was through them I have accomplished this far in the publication. Unfortunately I have left it this long but it is better late than never!
