Charles, my husband, loved living in Provence and came to love the inhabitants of this area. He wrote his thoughts down about Plan de la Tour and Coriolan, and always wanted to be published. After his death on the 14th. July 2005, I was reading a copy of “The Week” and there was a snippet there that said something like “make your dreams come true….,” which was about Author House, without which this book would never exist! The contents give a short history of Charles’ life, his writings “Tid Bits of Provence,” fond memories from the family, and a brief history of his grandfather Congressman John Charles Linthicum. Charles led a varied and interesting life, and those sparkling blue eyes were always full of fun. May his joie de vivre live on forever!
