From The Old Front Porch is a collection of stories that goes back to a time when I had one foot in the Old West and the other on a Saturn rocket. The one was fast disappearing and the other traveling faster than the speed of sound. Some of the stories were told first on the front porch of a turn-of-the-century country store and passed on. Some were listened to while sitting happily on a grandparent’s lap, all through the eyes of a child. The stories are, in essence, my attempt to share the precious things I gathered as a child and held close to me on my Saturn rocket ride into today.
