As a child growing up on Prince St, I recalled wanting to do something positive with my life. I guess it began when I was exposed to education. When I read about the impact and contribution others made to the world, it gave me hope to do the same. I embraced learning because I was good at it. Whenever you find something you are good at, it is easy for you to embrace. I didn’t need much encouragement from my parents concerning school because it was in me to go. Education was my ticket to fulfill my dreams. It’s important to encourage children to dream and have goals. It’s equally important for them to pursue them. People need vision. Without a vision, people will perish.
