As a child, I grew up on Chestnut Ridge in the mountains of Latrobe Pennsylvania. My brothers and cousins would wonder thru the woods playing, and one of the people who we knew as children was a man named Mr. Clark . Mr. Clark live back The old road as we called it, where also my Great Grandfather Sam Campbell had a farm. Mr. Clark lived in an old house; one room was hewn logs, and the other room which was added on was of frame design. There was a pot belly stove on the front room, and a spring house outside his front door. Mr. Clark collected fiddles, that fascinated me. I today am a pianist and musician and have always loved music. I remember fondly him playing the fiddle for us children, so I’ve written about him.
