Young Mountain Hill, not more than a boy, killed a man in defense of his mother. Knowing the carpetbaggers of the post Civil War Era would not understand this, he had to flee his home and family to a savage land and time to make it on his own. His only place to hide was in Texas, a land so big anyone could get lost to the law. In his travels he met the girl who could tame his wandering lust. The timing was wrong and he traveled on to Texas to hunt buffalo with untamed mountain men and hunters. Getting washed down stream, he was saved by Indians and became a semi-captive. While living with these Indians he was able to amass a fortune in hide trading. Tragedy took his young wife and twin sons when his village was attacked during one of his trips to trade furs. Returning to civilization he finds a long lost brother. Over a period of time he and his brother decide to return to Alabama and face the law to clear Mountain's name. Awaiting him at home was more than the law. His long lost love. Would there be a future for them?
