Set in the beautiful country of Oman during the late seventies, a young scientist, Camar, relates about her childhood and the consolation she finds with the turtles when her mother dies. The story takes her through adventure, and the need to protect the turtles from those who threaten to endanger them. It encompasses a time of discovery in her childhood through to adulthood, and the resulting preservation of turtles that exists in Oman today.
