We as compassionate people handle grief differently. There is no magic word that makes it go away, only time. What we do have in common is this pain is all the same. You will always have that terrible emptiness that never goes away. As a parent, I cannot imagine the weight of losing a child. As a sibling, I can only tell you of the horrible ache that fades with time, yet still reminds us from time to time. This book of poems contains little pieces of time throughout my childhood and as an adult my interaction with my brother and father. After the horrible deaths of two family members, my life changed forever. After seven years, there deaths still haunt me. I know we all have lost someone, and you can relate certain stories in your lives with mine. I write this for you and for me. That we never forget, but always remember. Our lives with or without them. There lives now.How I envy them…
