This is a true story about an unwed, 29-yr. old woman, who because of a promise she made at the age of 12, took on the care and responsibility of an abused and unwanted 2yr. old child. An intriguing story how this child became part of a large family. Although she was well cared for, there was a lack of love shown. This need to be loved grew as she did, causing her to make a bad choice in marriage. How her Catholic teachings had such a controlling impact on her young life. It is a trip back to the 30’s-40’s and 50’s showing how different life was back then. There are sad times, and there are happy ones, all conveying a message.
