Cyn has no desire to work with the beautiful Fallon. Okay, he might be desperate to get her in his bed. He is a vampire who possesses a thorough appreciation for beautiful women. And maybe he’s uncharacteristically fascinated by her sharp intelligence and unique fey powers. But she had no sense of humor and worse, she’s constantly interfering in his attempts to enjoy himself.
Fallon is thrilled to be out of the magical land that her father created. It’s a shame her freedom is immediately threatened by Siljar’s revelations that someone is trying to close the veils that separate dimensions. As much as she enjoys being in this world, she could never be separated from her people for all eternity. And then there’s Cyn. Seriously, the man was worse than an imp drunk on dewberries. He takes nothing seriously, he has no thought beyond his own pleasures, and he refuses to behave in a manner fitting for a clan chief.
