Established authors and dead poets often encapsulate our thoughts when considering what to buy for our next book of poetry. It is the emerging poet, the budding poet, that is often overshadowed by these so-called literary geniuses. Consider the benefit of purchasing a composition not burdened by well-meaning editors, who believe they are the gods by which our works of literature should be judged. This book of poetry is about my real life. There is no correct way to read or interpret the creations included in this collection. The free verse set forth in this book demonstrates how I thought and felt (and sometimes still do) as I managed my way through the harrowing difficulties that have significant influence on my course in life. I am referring, in particular, to my personal experience with metastatic breast cancer, though not yet the age of 30. This is my first, perhaps artistic, endeavour to be knowingly published. It attempts to engage the average reader in a similar way you can stare at a magnificent piece of visual art, only to be mesmerized and confused at the same moment. It is my belief this book of poems shares this amazing property as well.
