David Grayson (pseudonym of Ray Stannard Baker), American author, began as a Chicago newspaper reporter, and then joined the staff of McClure’s Magazine for which he wrote some famous muckraking articles. The first book of quiet country, containing sketches by David Grayson, Adventures in Contentment , appeared in 1907. He won the Pulitzer Prize for the last two volumes of his authoritative biography of Woodrow Wilson.
