The Angel Of San Diego is the story of Robin Oracle: Psychic Detective. In this, the first of the series, Robin is killed in a freak accident and his body donated to science. Eight months later he wakes up in a laboratory connected to a lot of machinery. No one can understand how he was resurrected or how his brain, which was severely damaged in the accident, could have healed itself. He is discharged and sent to live in a halfway house. He meets a woman named Nancy Velvet who explains that the reason he has headaches, hears voices, and has strange dreams is because the accident awakened his psychic abilities. She teaches him how to control his powers and he starts a psychic detective agency for finding lost things. One day he is called upon to find a missing child kidnapped by a psychopathic serial killer and Robin begins the search of his life. It will take all of his willpower and strength to catch the killer before he strikes again.
