Brynna Chase was a normal 16-year-old: a little on the wild side, a little bit of a firecracker, and always with her best friend Erica Shaw. They went shoulder-to-shoulder through everything - parties, boys, beer runs - and were shoulder-to-shoulder the night of the end-of-summer bonfire at Harding Beach, where someone dared Erica to jump off the pier.
