Beyond The Doors

When the naive Jamie leaves his Scottish village for university in England, he thinks it will be a quiet time of study and perhaps a little socialising.

He doesn't expect to encounter violent gangland enforcers, murderous military contractors or fall in love with the first girl who smiles at him in a pub.

The plot is about an American intelligence agency hiding in plain sight as a benevolent coffee corporation, a nuclear submarine base's auditor, Scotland's oil licences and a Spanish spy on sabbatical who'd prefer not to get involved.

Despite corrupt politicians, bribery, blackmail, kidnap, torture, kinky sex, PTSD, substance abuse & assassination plots, this book remains a tender love story, albeit one with Private & Public Sector Hoods getting in the way.
