2014 (Jan-Jun) - The Diary of Osric Martext

Osric Martext has made his way through life first with a pen, then a typewriter, then a word processor and finally with a computer, writing everything from journalism to movies, essays to stage plays, advertising copy to obituaries, travel books to restaurant guides, novels in several genres, from political thrillers to romances, from raunchy porn to westerns, all under the protection of suitably sonorous pseudonyms.

Some years have been good to Osric, but many others have been disappointing, especially given the misplaced vaunted hopes Osric entertained in his youth.

Through it all, even when wallowing in the depths of self-pity, he’s maintained a focused zest for Life and Living that Osric is surprised not to see in almost everybody else.
