This a true story about a young black girl who grew up in Compton, California and did not know she was black. Ironically she learned she was black by way of a "black cat" named Midnight. This inspirational story shares how that young girl came to grips with her true identity and overcame the shame thrown her by her peers. My hope is that this book reaches the youth that are searching for a way to deal with self-esteem issues, bullying or any other adversity.I want them to know that they too can overcome anything life throws their way.
