It is without the extensive marginal notes and annotations for daily scriptural readings. This is a faithful rendition of St. Jerome's Latin Vulgate, from the earliest extant manuscripts now unavailable, into modern English type without accretions, deletions, or political correctness. It was accepted by the Church as the official Bible in English.
