Mysteriously awakening in an alien world with knights, dragons, and powerful spirits, John fights to forge his own destiny, and realize a part of himself he'd lost. John finds that he is the Oracle of the Sun, and everyone claims he looks strikingly similar to the previous Oracle who went missing as Broken hunts him down. Broken is what one would describe as discarnate; he has six hands and no body to accommodate his comically large top hat. For the most part, he acts as the antagonist, but there are others that seek a way to the gods through John as well.
