Devotional Guide to the Gospel of John John has written this gospel account from the perspective of the evangelist. His intention in recounting the life and ministry of Jesus is to produce belief and life. The writer of John's Gospel was known as "John the Evangelist". It is to the great evangelists who impacted my life that I dedicate this book. The first evangelist I met was my mother, Leila Youngblood Lathem. She led me to Jesus one Sunday afternoon in December 1960. The first pastor I met and the most influential in my life was Reverend John Ozley, who became my pastor when I was just 7 years old. As I write this, Brother John is still my pastor even though he is now over 90 years old. His ministry was always productive in evangelism. There are many contemporaries who have spent their lives reaching the lost with the Gospel. I give thanks for them. For those sons and daughters in the faith in Venezuela who serve to bring thousands to faith in Christ, I am very thankful. This book is dedicated to all of them and to those who will discover their call to evangelism and reach the nations with the Good News of Jesus.
