The Wraith of Raven’s Wood

Ghosts can take many forms; the souls of the departed; reflections of past events - or those who just frustrate us by moving things around. There is, however, a fourth kind, defying all description - who delight in inflicting suffering and pain. For the most part, however, they do us little harm - inhabitants of a nether world from which they, rarely, venture forth. They exist, primarily, in tales told around the fireside on cold, Winter's evenings - when the rattle of a door latch or the creak of a floorboard bestows upon them a reality they seldom possess. Still, there are some who will swear to having seen the genuine thing - usually when susceptible to those kinds of delusions born of a drink, or two, at the local hostelry. That is not to say, of course, that all such tales are untrue - and the man, or woman, who simply brushes them aside may, one day, regret their blatant denials. Within the pages of this book you will find a cautionary tale of a man - who, through his own stubbornness, allows himself to be seduced into just such a trap. However, be warned before opening the cover and simply seeking a couple of hours of spooky entertainment. There are, without doubt, beings such as these just waiting for the moment when your guard is let down.......and your expression of absolute disbelief transforms into one of utter dread.........
