This book of poems is a resurrection of the spirits of my maternal elders. The Fingers raised me, molded and shaped me, laid my poetic foundation. I honor that memory with words that paint a portrait of each member of my mother's immediate kin; my grandparents and their 10 children. It is a journey into our past, an important, humanizing history of Black life and family.
